Application Process

Register online via the MuniRevs portal (truckee.munirevs.com). The 1,255-certificate cap is reached, so new applicants join a waitlist with a $100 non-refundable deposit. A Fire Safety Inspection by TFPD is required within three years of registration approval; certificate must be posted within the interior.

Tax Obligations

Combined rate: 14% of gross rental income.

Collection: Self-remit — operator collects TOT from guests and remits quarterly to the Town of Truckee via the MuniRevs portal

Filing: Quarterly, filed via MuniRevs; due May 1, August 1, November 1, February 1

Rental Limits

Truckee does not impose an annual cap on the number of nights you can rent. Each individual stay must be 30 nights or fewer per stay.
